Yeah so things havent changed too much here in Camino Carrasco and I dont really recall anything in particular that happened this past week but I just freaking love it here in this area!
Also heads up next pday will be on Tuesday next week not Monday ok?
Ok so this past tuesday I had an intercambio with Elder Hobbs over in Paso Carrasco and yes it is very obvious that Elder Cary was once in that area cause you cant look anywhere in the house without seeing his name or his mark somewhere hahaha. But yeah the intercambio was really good. I lost my sweater within the first 5 minutes of the intercambio. I had it hanging on my satchel and it fell off after like 1 minute from leaving the house so me and Hobbs walked back to find it but we couldnt which was super wierd cause we had only walked like a block away from the house when I noticed it was gone. Also in Paso Carrasco there is only like one street that isnt dirt which was wierd. Im not used to being in places where the streets arent paved.
So our investigators have been doing pretty well. We had a baptismal date for Daniella and her kids for next Saturday and were not really sure what happened but she canceled it and is going to be taking a break from having the lessons for right now. Its really wierd how it happened and also her husband is the young mens leader and was previously a bishop in 18 de Mayo so I think we'll start teaching her again soon but for right now it doesnt look like she'll be getting baptized very soon.
Andres and Rosa are, like always, super awesome and are like basically already members!!! Theyre soo great and they should be setting a date to get married any day now and so it looks like they will probably be getting baptized in June!!!!
Also we have Tania who is also in the same situation as Andres and Rosa but her boyfriend Pablo is already a member and they have a date to get married on the 16 or 17 of June. Were thinking that all three of them will probably get baptized on the same date. Tania is also like already a member and she is soooo nice and just loves the church so much. They are all really young too. Tania is 19 or 20 and has a little girl and Andres and Rosa are like 23-25 and have a boy.
So we have 3 investigators that are definitely going to get baptized but not until June so me and Silva are going to try to find some new investigators this week. It has been soooo freaking hard to talk with people here and share the gospel with them because weve been sooo freaking busy! We have like 6 recent converts that we pass by a lot and we also have a lot of less active members here that were working with and we also have those 3 investigators above that we work with very closely because they are the ones that we are focusing the most on because they just are so great and we just want to make sure that we help them get baptized in June.
Ok so thats whats going on here in Camino Carrasco! Its such a great area and I just love everybody here! The members, the less actives and the investigators are all just so great! Well thats it for this week! Love you guys have a good one!!!
Also with Skype coming up in a couple weeks just want to remind you guys and tell you that if you can it would be awesome if you guys that are going to Skype with me could like come up with a list of things to ask or something so that I can answer any questions that you guys have and so that we'll have more things to talk about than the last Skype. Thanks!!

Week 42 Camino Carrasco!!!
Ok so last week was my first week here in my new area Camino Carrasco. This area is so awesome!!! So first off I made a mistake in my last email when I said that my new comp Elder Silva only had two changes left. I didnt find out til I got here that this change is his last change in the mission not the next one. This is actually much much better because it means that I'll only be with him for one change and not two (cause he's a valiente) Valiente- codename we use in our mission for a missionary that is on his last change of the mission. And missionaries in their last change of the mish tend to get a bit trunky. But Silva is actually not really trunky (at least on the outside) which is really good. He wants to finish out really strong and this area has too much work to be done that we cant afford for anyone to be trunky right now, haha. I am really impressed that he's able to keep it together. I mean, I knew missionaries who had like 15 or 16 months in the mission that were like 20x trunkier than he is right now.
Anyway like I said this area has a lot of work to be done. We have quite a few of investigators with bapt dates that are only waiting to get married so that they can get baptized. One of the couples that I met are named Andres and Rosa and if you wouldnt have asked them you would have thought they were already members of the church. They are super cool and they have a meeting on Wednesday to finally be able to set a date to get married!!! They should be getting baptized by the end of the month! We also have quite a lot of other investigators that are just really great! Also the members here are sooo awesome!!!! I love them about as much as the members back in Maldonado (my first area). They are super friendly and they are sooo great with the investigators! They are so nice and treat the investigators so well that if an investigator goes to church one time they will always keep coming back because the members just make the investigators feel so welcome and feel like theyre part of a family. I've already gotten to know most of the members and I just love talking with them! I have no doubt that me and E Silva are going to get a lot done here!
Also we've been soo busy that I havent had time to take any pictures of anything so y'all gonna have to wait til next week for some pics. Also my friend Cary told me last monday that our apartment had a really bad cockroach problem so I was kinda worried cause I hate cockroaches but luckily E Silva got me outta that one cause the change before I got here E Silva went ham on killing cockroaches and making sure they didnt return so we dont really see cockroaches here that often thankfully.
Anyway so thats whats goin on over here! Also E Silva likes to run so I've been dying over here, no just kidding. We went running once last week which was probably the first time that i've gone running in an entire year. Yeah im not even joking that was actually the first time I went running in a year and i'm still sore right now from running cause we ran from our apartment all the way down to the beach. E Silva wanted to run to the temple as well but we'll do that another day so that I dont have a stroke or something like that.
Anyway hope y'all have a good week! I'll attach a couple photos of some other stuff! Also its about like 3 weeks til Guardians of the Galaxy 2 comes out! I will never forget about that date! You all need to go see it and tell me how it compares to the first one!
Have a good one!
1. New journal cover I made
2. Not even a year in the mish and my first pair already look like this!

Week 41 Transfers!!
First off just wanted to say that my comp and I had a good amount of success our last week of the change. We did a lot of contacts and found a few new investigators and have a lot of future investigators to pass by this week.
But yesterday was the most exciting part of the week because it was the day that we recieved the transfers!!! The day basically went like this-- district meeting in the morning, lunch, a service with a member that took like all day and then just playing cards and eating pizza with the other two elders until we got the transfers. I was soo nervious about transfers because I didnt want to stay here in Lezica for a 4th change because honestly im just bored of the area cause its really small and I just havent been able to have a lot of success here like I did in my last area.
But we finally freaking got the call from the ZLs and they told me that I was leaving to go to Camino Carrasco in the zone of Este here in Montevideo!!! I am super stoked to go!! Its the area that my MTC comp E Hemeyer started his mission and so I called him up this morning and he told me a lot of things about it like how its just a two elder apartment on the fourth flour of an apartment complex, it has really big desks, i'm really close to all of the good shopping in Montevideo, and that i'm only a 10 minute bus ride from the temple and the mission home!!! Im super excited and it sounds like its going to be great! I heard the members and the missionary work is pretty good over there!
Also I forgot to tell you who my new comp is. His name is Elder Silva from Brasil. He only has two changes left in his mission and it is almost certain that i'm going to kill him off. He is also the only companion so far that I have known before becoming his comp. He was in my zone in Maldonado during my first change there and I remember him pretty well, he was Ontiveros' comp before E Cary.
So yeah i'm really excited to go! I leave tomorrow at 9 am for my new area which is only like 45-60 minutes from here. I just have to finish packing which is a nightmare cause I have a lot more things to pack this time around considering that I got a lot of things in my Xmas package a while back. Also E Soriano who lived in the same house as me for the past 3 changes is going to Santa Lucia which is like an hour and a half north of here. Were both really happy that we didnt stay here for a 4th change!
I cant wait to talk to you all next week to tell you more about my new area! Love you all have a good week!

Week 40 General Conference 2017!!!
Ok so I aint got a lot of time to write so I´ll just kinda sum up this week real quick.
Ok so on Tuesday I had an intercambio with Elder Hayden my ZL. Super cool guy. I already knew him but it was cool getting to know him better. Basically all of our plans fell through except for one Family Night with some members so we spent almost the whole day just contacting. It was super fun though cause Hayden is just a stud and we both really like videogames so that made the day go by pretty quick just talkin about that haha.
Well we lost our investigator Ciancimino who we had been teaching for such a long time now. He had come to church about 15 times and was very friendly with us and got to know a lot of members and form good relationships with them but in the end his problems with some of the commandments kept him from progressing and after about 100 lessons with him he decided that this wasnt for him because he didnt want to give up his addictions and take an act of faith. He also wasnt praying or regularly reading the Book of Mormon and despite the countless lessons we had with him explaining all of these things over and over again, he rejected us and didnt want to continue down this path. I hope one day he will remember the things we taught him and try to develop a testimony of the things we taught him.
And then we had General Conference!!! Although I dont remember much of it since I dont have my notes with me, I do know that it was a really good General Conference haha. I'll have to watch it again and again in the future. Besides the Star Wars references my favorite talk was by Elder Andersen and how he talked about Elder Porter who died last year. I loved what he shared about the life of Elder Porter and I wish that I could remember some of the quotes from the talk (but either way we watched the conference in Spanish and my goodness the translating was terrible. Im pretty sure multiple people got fired that day hahaha).
Well thats about it for the week! Sorry I couldnt write a bit more about the week but Im kinda short on time! Love you all have a good week!
PS the birthday package arrived!!! I´ll send another email with the photos!
PSS Star Wars is the best. Most quoted movie ever in General Conference!
Not really. But it was without doubt the best one ive ever had on the mission 😉.But it was awesome
BTW my next pday will be on Tuesday since we've got changes next week! Also its pretty likely that im leaving so i'll let yall know where im going or if im staying (again, not likely) next week
