yeah ok this title makes no sense. Im just at the point now that ive ran out of catchy titles for my emails.
Well I guess it kind of makes sense because last week I told you guys that we taught Ernesto and when we went to his house he served us biscuits and green tea but he didnt have any sugar because hes on a no sugar diet so we just drank tea without sugar 🙁. He actually told us that before we went to his house and I was going to bring sugar in my bag but I forgot so yeah...
Anyway so things have been going awesome with Ernesto. He came to church last Sunday for the third time and we are going to meet up with him again today.
As far as this past week goes: Last wednesday my comp had to go to the acupuncturist (is that even what its called? Idk its the person that has a license to almost kill you by popping your back and spine in wierd positions and stuff). It was cool because the clinic that we had to go to was the one at Estadio Centario (which is the football stadium here in Montevideo where the Uruguay nacional team plays and all of the club team championships and everything like that).
On thursday I had an intercambio with Elder Grigor from Canada! He is the new zone leader here in this zone and it was probably the dopest intercambio I have had on my mission. He is super cool and he reminds me soo freaking much of Elder Cary who went home back in December. Also Grigor's first name is Justin and he is the youngest child of 4 and he has one brother and two older sisters that are the oldest of all (kinda like me in my family). And his older brother also served a mission. And Grigor is a fanatic of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I took advantage of this white kid english speaking companionship by using my Marvel and Star Wars trivia cards for the first time because Ive been stuck with Latinos for the past few months now hahaha. I think Elder Grigor knew more than I did as far as Star Wars trivia went.
But yeah we worked all afternoon and found a bunch of people for me and my companion to pass by this week. We also got a couple of new investigators for us to start teaching. The next day on Friday morning me and Grigor were super hungry but neither of us had any money left from what the mission gave us so I searched through my duffel bag and found: Kangaroo Jerky; Choc Chip cookie mix; and a mix for butter garlic biscuits (the Red Lobster ones) so we went to the supermarket and I used my card to buy butter, cheese, and chocolate milk and we went back to the house and made a batch of chocolate chip cookies and Red Lobster biscuits. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! haha. But seriously I havent eaten anything that good for a while. (not saying that the food here in Uruguay isnt good its just that we normally eat about the same things all the time so to have something different is really nice).
Anyway it was a dope intercambio. And at the end I gave Grigor my Star Wars Victoria Canada shirt that my parents gave me in a package a while back and Grigor was like "dude im getting you something for giving me this" and today he gave me this sick fidget spinner that was a Captain America Shield version (and if you dont know what that is just Google fidget spinner. Im pretty sure that the spinner is a lame toy that all of the lame high school students back home have because if its taking off over here in Uruguay then it must be a really popular over there in the US.
But yeah on Sunday Leticia and her kids came to church. Leticia and her husband are members but they have been inactive for like 8 years and we finally got her to come to church and she came with her son Thiago and her twin daughters Clara and Sarah. If you guys look at my email that I sent like 7 weeks back youll find a picture of the family I think. The kids loved church. At first not because we always start with sacrament meeting but afterwards the kids went to the classes and loved being with the other kids. I think they will be coming back because that was the first time that the kids had gone to church and they really liked it.
Well and then yesterday we had interviews with President Eddy and it was awesome but I have no idea what will be happening with transfers. I really hope that I stay and that Elder Lopez leaves!! I never want to leave here and also Ernesto is going to get baptized on the 15th of August probably. I hope so!
